Professor Limeback is currently studying fluoride buildup in the body. "What we're finding indicates a trend: Torontonians have double the fluoride levels in their hip bones compared to Montreal, where water is not fluoridated," he said.

Dangers to children
"Children under three should never use fluoridated toothpaste or drink fluoridated water. And baby formula must never be made up using [fluoridated] Toronto tap water. Never. We are now spending more money treating dental fluorosis than we would spend treating cavities if water were not fluoridated."
      The Journal of the American Dental Association, (1995), found that up to 80% of children living in fluoridated areas in the US and Canada suffer from dental fluorosis - mottling, pitting and staining of teeth. Promoters describe this condition as "merely a cosmetic problem," but scientists say it is the first visible sign of fluoride poisoning.

"Fluoride is a pollutant"
While fluoride promoters and government advisers insist that water fluoridation is "perfectly safe," Limeback, until very recently an advocate for water fluoridation, now vehemently disagrees. "These people haven't done any studies to find out what effect fluoride accumulation will have. How can they say it is safe when the studies haven't been done?" Asked whether he drinks tap water, Limeback said he buys distilled water. "Look, I've been drinking fluoride for 35 years and I'm worried. I have joint problems which cleared up when I switched to non-fluoridated water. Fluoride is a pollutant, so why would you want to swallow it?"

Fluoride accumulates in bone
"This comes as no surprise to us," said Dr Peter Mansfield, President of the National Pure Water Association, whose own recent findings on fluoride ingestion levels give cause for serious concern. "Half a dozen studies in the Journal of the American Medical Association show more hip fractures in fluorid- ated areas. Ingested fluoride accumulates - mainly in the bones. Sixty per cent of the 200 volunteers I tested from the fluori- dated West Midlands are ingesting fluoride up to four times the level considered 'safe' by the Dept. of Health or the scientific literature. Water fluoridation is an absolute fraud and the sooner the DoH acknowledges the truth, the better. The 50-year coverup must be exposed. Disposal of toxic industrial waste via the public drinking water supplies, must be stopped."

The back-story
In 1983 Lord Jauncey declared fluoridation unlawful. (Mrs C McColl v Strathclyde Regional Council.). In 1985 the Thatcher government legalised it, having been fluoridating 10% of England illegally for 20 years! In 1993 EVERY Scottish Council rejected water fluoridation. 28 out of 31 North West Councils rejected it - three refused to hear the case "Against". 25 out of 26 N. Ireland Councils rejected it in 1996 after a bitter "fluoridation battle" which was never reported on the mainland. (Antrim refused to hear the case "Against".). But the Government will not take NO for an answer. New Labour's stated "target areas" include Western Scotland, the North West and Northern Ireland! This has been described by many Councillors as "relentless public harassment."
      Last year, the National Pure Water Association called for a full, independent Public Inquiry into water fluoridation, to enable all relevant scientific disciplines - biochemical and toxicological, medical and dental - and relevant legal and constitutional authorities to be brought together to rigorously examine ALL the evidence over the past 20 years. The government advisers on fluoridation at the Dept. of Health don't want this. Nor does the fluoride lobby, so they persistently attempt to "rubbish" every single study which shows adverse health effects! - yet the DoH has failed to provide us with a single laboratory or scientific study which shows that artificial fluoridation reduces tooth decay in humans! Brainwashed dentists are unable to believe this!

Hydrogen fluoride - "that beast among elements" (BNFL).
Artificial water fluoridation is a device created to cover up the adverse effects of the most prolific global pollutant - HYDROGEN FLUORIDE - to protect industry from litigation, with the complicity of successive governments. The fluoride added to water in fluoridation schemes is HEXAFLUOROSILICIC ACID - literally, toxic industrial waste scrubbed from the hydrogen-fluoride-polluting chimneys of super-phosphate fertiliser factories. HF is also belched out by coal-burning power stations, petrochemical refineries, aluminium, zinc, copper, beryllium and magnesium producing factories, steel mills, plastics manufacturers, glass factories, cement works, pottery and tile makers, brick works, chemical factories, etc. But thousands of tonnes of hydrogen fluoride are actually required and produced specially for the nuclear industry - particularly nuclear processing. Fluoride is also a major component of Sarin nerve gas. " 'The location of factories in the United Kingdom which manufacture hydrogen fluoride (HF) and elemental fluorine (F2) is officially secret. To disclose the locations of such factories would not be in the interest of National Security.' - The Home Office, London 1992." ( The Secret War, Dr Geoffrey E. Smith, Epeius Publishing Associates, 1997).
      Smith, a dentist who had signed the Official Secrets Act, came out against water fluoridation and was warned, in 1976, by an Officer from the Security Service: "If you divulge, in public, the precise composition of the gaseous emissions from Capenhurst [Britain's uranium hexafluoride gaseous diffusion plant in Cheshire] you may well be charged under the Official Secrets Act . . . the hearings could well be heard in camera." An attempt was made to have him struck off the General Dental Register. It failed.
      NB. NPWA has copies of 155 recently declassified documents which reveal that the US Govt. was involved in the deliberate coverup of fluoride toxicity tests on humans in the mid-1940s.
