Dear Ms Jones
Mr Peter Jackson's report - NPWA website
I refer to an article on your website entitled:
'UK Water Research Centre "Report" exposed as bad
science'
I am concerned at your misuse of our company name. You appear to
be confusing WRc plc (Water Research Centre) with WRc-NSF Limited,
which is a separate legal entity, and of which Mr Jackson is an
employee. I am extremely concerned that not only does your website
implicate WRc, but the title is also potentially libellous.
Would you therefore please take immediate steps to remove all references
to Water Research Centre and WRc and replace them with WRc-NSF.
In my capacity as Company Secretary of WRc-NSF Limited, as well
as WRc plc, I also request you to change the title in the article.
Please confirm that this action has been taken. In the event that
you do not do so within a reasonable time, say by 6 December 2002,
I shall contact our corporate lawyers for their advice as to the
options open to us.
Yours sincerely,
Karen McLintock,
Company Secretary
cc Mr P. Jackson, WRc-NSF.
