Thanks to financial assistance from our members, the NPWA has successfully prevented the fluoridation of ninety percent of British public water supplies.
Fluoride is banned or has been abandoned throughout continental Europe, China and Japan. In the remaining five countries that still add fluoride to water supplies opposition is growing as people see the harm fluoride can do.
Five million people in Britain are still forced to drink fluoride-polluted water. And, despite the overwhelming evidence of harm, even now the British government is considering a change in the law to compel all water companies in Britain to add fluoride to ALL our water supplies. The fight must go on.

The only chemicals the law allows for fluoridation in Britain are hexafluorosilicic acid and its sodium salt, disodium hexafluorosilicate. These are not pure. Derived from phosphate fertiliser production (see It's Pollution, Stupid!) , these chemicals contain impurities which are known to cause cancer among other conditions. We must bring this to the attention of relevant authorities.

Please write to Trading Standards and Advertising Standards Authorities voicing your concern. We have provided specimen letters for you to cut and paste into any word processor and send to: the Advertising Standards Authority and Trading Standards Authority. your MP and local councillor.

The National Pure Water Association needs your help

We are funded entirely by our members' contributions and charitable donations. We depend upon the support of the public in the immense task of promoting safer and healthier public water supplies.
We keep our members informed of developments through quarterly newsletters and other publications.
We need money for print, postage, telephone and administration, and to help with travelling costs for speakers when required.
